Richard E. Meyer, Chairman (Co-Founder)

Richard Meyer served as the executive vice president and partner of Johnson & Higgins, the world’s largest private insurance broker and benefit consultant, which now forms part of Marsh & McLennan (NYSE: MMC). Prior to his 1993 retirement, Mr. Meyer was responsible for all national practices and for the formation of Johnson & Higgins, Limited in London, which placed all of the firm’s insurance and reinsurance business in the London and Continental markets.

In September 1997, Mr. Meyer co-founded the Bermuda-based Latin American Reinsurance Company, Ltd. with financial backing from XL Capital (NYSE: XL) and Risk Capital Re, formerly a division of Marsh & McLennan (NYSE: MMC). He served as chairman and chief executive officer until XL Capital acquired the interests of the founding executives in December 2000.

Mr. Meyer is currently chairman of Global Excess Partners, LLC, a New York-based insurance agency; vice chairman of XN Holdings, an online insurance provider for expatriates; vice chairman of the Board of Overseers of St. John’s University School of Risk Management, Insurance and Actuarial Science; founding board member of Executive Risk Insurance and Global Capital Reinsurance; director of Intrinsic Holdings Limited and Hallmeyer & Associates Limited. He also serves on the board of a number of non-profit organizations, including Boys Hope/Girls Hope.

Vineet Kalucha, President & CEO (Co-Founder)

Vineet Kalucha brings more than 20 years of broad senior management experience to Q.Know Technologies, Inc. A finance professional, Mr. Kalucha has been associated with establishing corporate operations in the Americas, Europe, Asia and the Middle East.

Mr. Kalucha was a co-founder of Latin American Reinsurance Company, Ltd. in Hamilton, Bermuda. Latin American raised $100 million from XL Capital Ltd. (NYSE: XL) and Risk Capital Reinsurance Company, formerly a division of Marsh & McLennan (NYSE: MMC). As senior vice president and chief financial officer, Mr. Kalucha headed up operations and helped attract a seasoned management team to build the company. Latin American Re had operations in six major countries in Latin America before it was acquired by XL Capital Ltd. in December 2000

Mr. Kalucha previously served in senior management and finance positions at the ARIG – a leading international insurance and reinsurance company – at various locations in Europe, Middle East and Asia. As a senior manager at the UK subsidiary, he was responsible for all strategic planning of the company and led the initiative to restructure their international operations.

Mr. Kalucha also served as a consultant for Ernst & Young, in their offices in India, Hong Kong and Singapore where he led consulting and audit engagements for major Fortune 100 companies including the Asian operations of Proctor & Gamble, Lever Brothers, Chevron Inc., Bank of America and Banque Nationale de Paris.

Joseph A. Geaney, Vice President (Co-Founder)

Joseph Geaney has more than 25 years of international business experience, including 15 years working directly with information technology.

Prior to co-founding Q.Know, Mr. Geaney founded Aorangi Associates, a Bermuda-based computer consulting practice. He evolved the company from business-level advisory services to fulfilling the entire range of services required by clients. In this capacity, he assisted leading global companies in Bermuda's robust financial services environment.

Mr. Geaney also served as senior systems consultant for Business Systems Limited (now Logic Communications Limited) in Bermuda. He formed and developed a new professional services group, which had formerly only offered services on mid-range and mainframe Digital Equipment Corporation products.

In New Zealand, Mr. Geaney worked as a systems engineer (network design and implementation) on behalf of an award-winning IBM/Compaq dealership, Financial Systems, Ltd. Mr. Geaney also worked in the U.K. and New Zealand, serving at the City of London Corporation, IBM, Royal Stock Exchange and the Housing Corporation of New Zealand.

Steven C. Drill, 
Vice President of Engineering & Chief Technology Officer

As an entrepreneur with extensive software development success, Steve Drill has more than 20 years of IT experience including 15 years in commercial software product development.

Mr. Drill was president and chief operating officer of Essential Technologies, Inc., a leading provider of environmental and emergency management applications, where he managed all operations, except finance, for the $15 million company.

Prior to Essential, Mr. Drill spent 12 years with Sterling Software, Inc. and with Systems Center, Inc./VM Software, Inc., which was acquired by Sterling in 1993. Originally a systems programmer and software developer, Mr. Drill rose within Sterling to hold the positions of chief technology officer of the VM Software Division and of the Systems Management Group.

Mr. Drill spent seven years at Systems Center, Inc. in a wide range of roles including product manager, development manager, systems architect and senior software engineer. He was responsible for the development and management of a complete suite of systems management software for IBM’s VM operating system.

Ron Brenners, Vice President of Sales, the Americas

Ron Brenners is a seasoned sales professional with over two decades of sales experience across North and South America. Ron is a solution driven individual who prides himself in his abilities to help solve customer issues.  Whether working with a Fortune 1000 company or a firm in the small to medium market and from the senior executive to the staff level, Ron is customer-centric.

A proven leader, Ron has successfully built and led sales teams at major software companies, for both the channel and the direct sales model.  In the process, he has helped to manage complex sales cycles through a multi-level, decision-making environment.

Prior to joining Q.Know, Ron held senior sales responsibilities at MicroStrategy, and Brio Software. Ron’s experience also includes tenures at Oracle, Sun Microsystems and Computer Associates.

Sandra L. Taylor, Ph.D., Vice President of Marketing

Sandra Taylor is an accomplished executive with expertise in corporate identity, brand management, and market positioning.  In addition to strategic consultation work with high-tech and healthcare clients, she has built professional marketing and account services organizations from the ground up, rebranded and repositioned companies for optimal market differentiation, and has raised company profiles through strategic public relations and promotional events. 

She served as the Vice President of Marketing for Daou Systems, Inc., a publicly-traded healthcare information technology consulting firm, and served as the Vice President of Corporate Marketing following Daou Systems’ merger with Proxicom, Inc., a privately-held, interactive consulting company in October of 2005. Prior to joining Daou Systems, Sandra was the Director of Marketing and Account Management for LaserLink.net, a provider of branded Internet access to Fortune 1000 companies. In 2000, LaserLink.net was acquired by Covad Communications, Inc. for $486m.

Before joining LaserLink in 1999, Sandra was the Vice President of Account Services at Integra, a national behavioral healthcare corporation where she was responsible for corporate marketing and account management. Sandra’s professional background includes positions in secondary and college teaching.  Sandra holds a Ph.D. in English Literature from Temple University.
